Video Clip of Recent Democrat Led Pledge
  • Most Americans still believe that our country resides “under God”
  • The DNC continues its trajectory towards radicalism, socialism and Godlessness.
  • Even though the Democratic leadership only speaks for a minority of their constituents, its rank and file rosters are encouraged to remain silent.
  • Recently, during events surrounding the Democratic National Convention, several Dem. leaders chose to scratch “under God” from the pledge.

Please pray for justice and God’s will be done!

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

8/17/20: Nigerian Defenders Make Time For Sunday Mass

https://www.vaticannews.va/en/africa/news/2020-08/after-a-week-fending-off-boko-haram-nigerian-military-joins-in.html

In Nigeria, the Madagali community is vulnerable to Boko Haram’s attacks because it is located near the Sambisa forest where Boko Haram has been hiding and operating. Recently, between heavy rains and the evil terrorists, the area has been essentially cut off from much of the rest of the country.

Thankfully the Nigerian military has been working hard to defend the area. And on the Feast of the Assumption, a “sizeable” number of soldiers attended Mass in the diocese! It was a much-welcomed sight for those feeling ignored by the government.

“The weak but faithful Christians here in the north (of Nigeria) have nothing much to say or do other than seek the intercession of our Mother of Hope -as prayed by the Holy Father. This is the only lifeline left for our people in a country where our political leaders seem to have fallen asleep at the wheel and have taken their eyes off the ball,”

Fr. Sunu, Malagalı parish priest

8/14/20: U.S. Attorney General Asked to Fight Ongoing Catholic Desecration

https://www.ncregister.com/news/us-senator-asks-attorney-general-to-fight-anti-catholic-vandalism

There has been a steady escalation of assaults, vandalism and intentional attacks on Catholics and Catholic Churches throughout 2020. The opponents to organized religion in general, and the Church specifically, have become brazen and unapologetic!

U.S. Senator John Kennedy, R-La., has written a letter to U.S. Attorney General William Barr, requesting his attention in the matter.

“The trend of desecrating Catholic spaces and property must stop…Catholics are under attack in America…These crimes span from coast to coast and show no sign of ending.”

Senator John Kennedy, R-La.

Please pray for peace, justice and God’s will to be done!

8/19/20: Zimbabwean Bishop Facing Wrath From Government

https://www.vaticannews.va/en/africa/news/2020-08/southern-african-catholic-bishops-express-solidarity-with-zimbab.html

Bishop Sithembele Sipuka states that the Catholic Bishops in Southern Africa stand “in unconditional solidarity” with the Bishops of Zimbabwe, as they face hostilities by the Zimbabwean Government.

After Archbishop of Harare, Robert Christopher Ndlovu detailed conditions and abuses the government ignores to the people’s detriment, the Archbishop became the subject of personal attacks. These attacks have been executed by Zimbabwe’s Minister of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Senator Monica Mutsvangwa.

“Your Pastoral letter of Friday 14 August 2020 clearly describes the hardships and problems faced by Zimbabwe, and analyses the causes, which those in authority do not want to hear. Your voice of encouragement to the people of Zimbabwe is what they needed to hear in this time of their greatest need.”

Bishop Sithembele Sipuka, President of Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference

8/14/20: Iraq Officially Needs More Christians

Christians who fled Iraq in recent years are being encouraged to return by the Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Al-Kazemi has met with Cardinal Louis Raphael I Sako, the Chaldean Catholic Patriarch, and other bishops in Baghdad. Cardinal Raphael said there are many Christians who wish to return.

“Iraq is the country for everyone, and that Christians are the original children of the country, and there is no difference between the people of the same country, as everyone is a partner in building the future of Iraq.”

Mustafa Al-Kazemi

Security is the primary issue and the new Prime Minister, who took over May 7, pledges assistance. He said he and all Iraqis yearn for a new Iraq that believes in peace and rejects violence.

It was the invasion of ISIS in 2014 that almost eradicated Christianity in Iraq. Despite promises, Christians are fearful.

Please pray for peace, justice and for God’s will to be done!

8/13/20: St. Jude Statue Beheaded in Denver

https://www.catholicnewsagency.com/news/denver-archbishop-praying-for-conversion-after-st-jude-statue-beheaded-88454

Just as Catholics in the archdiocese of Denver begin a rosary chain for the assaults on Catholic parishes, their own Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish was vandalized!

A statue of St. Jude was beheaded on the grounds and votive candles of an outdoor shrine were smashed. Security at the parish will be increased. There are no leads on a suspect.

“As our archdiocese begins a Rosary Crusade this weekend, one of our specific intentions is to pray for the conversion of those who carry out acts of desecration against our churches, statues, and religious symbols.”

Archbishop Samuel Aquila

Please pray for justice and God’s will to be done!

8/12/20: Nevada Punishes Christians…for Worshipping!

https://thefederalist.com/2020/08/12/nevada-governor-fines-banned-church-for-holding-service-in-opened-casino/

Nevada’s governor is showing disdain for a church group that found a way to worship despite ridiculous restrictions imposed on them. The group got creative when the state government said churches could only have 50 people attend worship services, but casinos could operate at 50% capacity!

SO, the evangelical church group held their service in a casino! Good for them, even if it was only a temporary victory. The Governor got upset with the end-around and imposed a fine on the hosting casino.

Unfortunately the US Supreme Court would not permit an injunction in a similar case from that same state in July. However, Justice Gorsuch published a short dissent on the state’s overreach:

“In Nevada, it seems, it is better to be in entertainment than religion…Maybe that is nothing new. But the First Amendment prohibits such obvious discrimination against the exercise of religion. The world we inhabit today, with a pandemic upon us, poses unusual challenges. But there is no world in which the Constitution permits Nevada to favor Caesars Palace over Calvary Chapel.”

Justice Neil Gorsuch

Please pray for justice, the preservation of religious liberty and God’s will to be done!

8/11/20: Another Catholic Arrested in Hong Kong by Communists

Agnes Chow, a Catholic and Hong Kong civil rights advocate, has been arrested and charged for violating the new national security law that the Chinese Communist Party imposed on the former British colony. Chow was caught up in the same dragnet that captured Jimmy Lai, and several others.

Chow, only 23, was targeted for her political opposition to the communists.

Please pray for Ms. Chow and all Catholics in China, and for God’s will to be done!

8/11/20: ‘Hate Speech’ Label is Damaging American Civility

https://www.ncregister.com/news/philadelphia-statement-hate-speech-label-does-damage-to-civil-dialogue

Leaders are speaking out against the abusive application of the phrase ‘Hate Speech’, and how it is being levied against any group who espouses different values than the current culture.

Archbishop emeritus of Philadelphia Charles Chaput, along with other religious and academic leaders signed a joint statement of protest. The Philadelphia Statement aims to counter the “social media mobs,” “cancel culture” and “campus speech policing.”

“Responsible organizations are castigated as ‘hate groups.’ Honest people of good faith are branded ‘hate agents.’ Even mainstream ideas are marginalized as ‘hate speech.’ This threatens our ability to listen, discuss, debate, and grow.”

The Philadelphia Statement

Please pray for the future of liberties, including our first liberty: religious liberty – and God’s will to be done!

8/10/20: Christians in India Protest Discrimination

https://www.vaticannews.va/en/church/news/2020-08/india-dalit-christians-black-day-protest-discrimination.html

India’s Dalit Christians came together to observe what’s known as “Black Day”, to remind their countrymen that Dalits who believe in the Lord have been facing a constitution-based discrimination.

“Dalit” is derived from Sanskrit, and means “broken” or “downtrodden”. It’s reserved for the untouchables, so low in ‎social status ‎that they are considered outcasts in the rigid Hindu caste system. As a result, for centuries, Dalits have suffered extreme exploitation and inhuman treatment. They also endure atrocities and severe poverty.

Their cries have gone unheard by the government since the 1950s. Since 2009, the “Black Day” protest has been organized annually by the Catholic Bishops Conference of India (CBCI), the National Council of Churches in India and the National Council of Dalit Christians.

“God has treated everybody as equal.”

Cardinal Oswald Gracias, President, CBCI

Please pray for justice and God’s will to be done!
